Cinnebar Moth by Hawk Moth ex Kamono, bred here at Combe Farm, now competing as a premium mare in endurance with her owner Susy Rowe-French. Cinny is just 14hh, it just goes to show that size isn't everything! Just one of the many horses we have bred that have gone on to do very well in various disciplines.

Huge congratulations to trainer Harriet Podd and owner Lee Bennett on their astonishing wins with the lovely mare Ianthe (by Shaka out of Lady Jane Grey) this year - including Ridden Champion at the South of England show this June and Ridden Champion of the South East AHS group show in May. She was also first and reserve champion at the national AHS show, Malvern amongst many more successes this season.

We're thrilled to announce that our lovely home bred mare Alphina by Da Vinci ex Anastasja (by Rumak) won that highlight of the arab endurance racing calendar - the Arabian Horse Marathon in October with a very exciting and hotly contested finish. Many congratulations to her trainers Nellie George and Adam Sherring, owner Jo George and jockey Danni Poole - we wish we'd been there to witness the excitement!

It's just another proof that Combe Farm Horses make wonderful ridden horses (if you didn't already believe us) and is yet another win to add to a very long list of Combe bred endurance successes.

After over 35 years of breeding Arabian horses, many have flown the nest and excelled themselves in various fields and we're very proud of all of them.

This year we'd like to complete our file of Combe bred horses who's owners would say they've 'done them proud'! We'd love to hear from anyone who has owned a Combe bred horse who'd like to contribute their story so do get in touch - and email your photos to us as well.

In the meantime, enjoy your horses and keep in touch through the web or just ring up and come and see us - we've many exciting plans for the new year and hope that you'll be able to share some of them with us.

Best wishes

Michael
